Before you rush out and start listing your business, make sure you do the following first!.
- Ensure that your website contains your NAP (Name, Address Phone) listing – preferably in the header or footer of your site in plain text so that Google can find it and index it.
- Make sure you have claimed your Google+ Local Business Page and have filled out every field with the maximum amount of detail. Your address here MUST match your website EXACTLY
- Make sure you have also claimed your Google+ Local Business Page as the verified owner
- Ask your customers to review you on your new Google+ Local page – the more the better as these are proven ranking boosters. Make this an ongoing process for all new clients.
